Food is great, Ambiance not so great. Fantastic ribs & I love the chicken special sandwich.

I honestly love this place. I have been coming to this place for so many years. I stumbled upon it a few years back and I've been a loyal customer ever since it's definitely recommend this place.

Food was good would recommend this place . The service was fast for a take out joint. Not much of an ambiance since it's take out.

We ordered for take out and the food was great! It came very quickly and had no issues with the special instructions we requested. I would definitely recommend to any BBQ LOVERS!

I definitely agree with other Yelpers that the meat is pretty decent but to be aware that the sauce is on the sweeter side of what you are probably expecting. It's good, though it was not what I was expecting. Also, I do kind of wish there had been some sauce options. That being said, I'm glad we tried it out. My 1/4 lb pulled pork was delectable. I found it more flavorful than the brisket sandwich, but my partner thought the opposite. (Huh!) Keeping at 4 stars because the sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy. And addictive. They weren't too salty, which allowed for the true essence of sweet potato to shine through.

Best BBQ we've had on LI!! We've been taking out from here for years now, and have never had a bad meal. In fact, They were all delicious. It's such a pleasure to find barbecue that's not slathered in sugar! I want to point out that they do NOT use sugar in a lot of what they serve, making it an option for diabetics. In my house, we have a Type1 diabetic whose blood sugar is stable after eating Hickory's chili, spareribs and coleslaw. What a treat! Plus, their BBQ sauce is very low in sugar. Everything's unbelievably tasty. Highly recommended for everyone!

Based solely on the Ribs and the Brisket as that is all I tried! Surprised by the baby back ribs that were fall off the bone tender and a whole rack is really enough for two people. The brisket was also great and had a perfect smoked flavor. So the food in general was good, but the establishment could use some updating. The service was fine, as long as you're ok with grabbing your own utensils, ketchup and drinks. This is a counter service style restaurant. Next time it will be take out! But then again .... the ribs were great!

This is one interesting place and I dig it! Be prepared to circle around the block for parking (metered parking that is) as this place is right on a main street. Once you find a spot and head towards this BBQ joint upon entering you will head through saloon doors. And that's only the beginning... The novelty of this place makes my heart explode. Jimi Hendrix and other classic rock artist concert posters darn the walls and there are random knock knacks floating around that make you feel like you're at an older relative's home. I make my way to the counter and order my brisket sandwich with a side of onion rings. The person behind the counter is very patient as per usual it takes me forever to make this decision. But the right decision it was! My brisket was some of the most tender and flavorful I have ever had. Their BBQ sauce was more tangy than sweet which is how I like it. All this was placed on a sesame seed bun. Oh and their onion rings, amazing! The batter was flavorful and my rings were fried to perfection. The onion to batter ratio was just right and this was the perfect side to my sandwich.
